The Center for Strategic Studies of humanitarian diplomacy and conflict resolution "Midad al-Hal" is pleased to announce the opening of the application for the Humanitarian Diplomacy course in its first edition in Ankara.

The course is aimed at Syrian female and male actors who want to develop their skills and have new experiences that qualify them to be more effective and influential humanitarian activists with Turkish official institutions in serving humanitarian issues, especially the issues of Syrian refugees in Turkey.

The duration of the course is eight months, the trainees gets qualitative experiences and new tools, through an intensive program consisting of 144 training hours around eleven specialized titles, divided between theoretical and practical trainings, using the methods of teaching in practice and e-learning, trainees also receive monthly compensation during the training period, and after the trainee submits to the graduation project he receives a certificate of completion of the course, which increases their chances of contracting with humanitarian and research institutions.

Course objectives


The course aims to enhance the capabilities of actors in public affairs through theoretical training and practical experience, enabling them to possess the following tools and skills:

- Communication skills and advocacy campaign planning.

- Facilitation skills of official and public meetings and conferences.

- Scientific research skills, information collection and preparation of public policy papers.

- How to build the necessary communication networks with opinion leaders, decision makers and media professionals.

Terms of joining


- The applicant must have a university degree or be a university student.

- Engage in public affairs issues and community activities for a period of more than two years.

- Admission preference: for residents of Ankara, and for those who are fluent in Turkish.
